90 Percent of Flats in Jakarta Are Free of Car Ownership

Jakarta Housing and Government Building Dept Head, Ika Lestari Aji asserted 90 percent of flat units in the capital are free from car ownership.

The flat is only for lower-income people. If you have a car there, please to move immediately

"The flat is only for lower-income people. If you have a car there, please to move immediately," she said, Tuesday (2/16).

Of the 22 flat units, there is still found car ownership in Tambora, Flamboyan and Cipinang Muara flats. Through flat management, her dept continues to conduct socialization to obey the flat rules.

Basuki to Check Car Ownership in the Flat

"As in Cipinang Muara Flat, most are teachers. If they already have car, it means the economic already improving and should move and give the flat key to the needy," she stressed.

If they ignore the rule, her dept will involve Transportation Dept to tow the car.

"This is last solution. Nevertheless, we will encourage them through socialization first," closed Ika.
